Easel Birthday Card

This is a simple Easel card made using elements from a Hunkydory kit.

Baby Girl Card

Greetings from the Muggy south-east. I believe that there was sunshine else where in the country during the week but it only peeped through the mist for a couple of brief moments on top of my hill. Great crafting weather:-)
This card I made using a topper from Reddy Creative Cards,
the paper border was made using an Xcut punch
And a pretty piece of paper on it giving a ribbon effect.
Silver peeloffs finish the corners.

Please leave a comment as I love to get them, Kay

Monday

Hi everyone,
I had a fantastic day yesterday at Yvonneshttp://cardartblogkilcoole.blogspot.com ) workshop in Newtownmountkennedy.
We crafted all day and I was tired but happy.
Highlight of the day was that Yvonne had used an image on a card that I had hand drawn and coloured.
This morning I have sorted out my cards and photographed them.
I organised all the photos on my computer and have copied them to a dvd in case of the computer melting down.

This is the card I made for the Card Challenge - 50th Wedding Anniversary card

I have lots of photos of my cards to put up so there will be alot of new posts in the next few days -when I can grab some time on the computer.

Birthday card for my Sister

This is a card I made for my sister.
I embossed the white card and outlined the outside flowers with a blue sparkly pen.
I also out lined the border to balance it all.
The image is from a Sarah Kay sheet mounted on a Nellie Snellen die cut .

Changed the time on my blog

Hi all, I've just changed the time for the postings on my blog as a few concerned people thought I was up in the middle of the night on the computer.
I'm a morning person so it was very unlikely as I'd be dozing off in a chair for an hour before I'd make myself go to bed.
How many of you have stayed up to watch a film and fell asleep at the crucial part in the last 20 mins and wonder why you bother:-)
 Happy day to everyone,
Kay

Cards for Junior Cert.

These are a few cards I made recently,

This is just a simple gatefold card with matting and layering and some embellishments and peeloffs.
Inside I put a scroll with 'Congratulations on your Junior Cert and the girls name'.
Pics aren't great as I was in a hurry as usual.
This one is made with a Forever friends image from the Easter collection this year and the lace is patterned white paper punched with a border punch and lots of little star peeloffs.
Inside I printed a similar insert to the top one.

Weekend Wanderings

Hi everyone,
The days and weeks are passing so quickly. How do you slow them down?
My sisters and one honoury sister and I spent weekend at my sisters in Gorey Co. Wexford.
Its a lovely little town and we had a wonderful wander around on Saturday.Mind you we didn't get very far in the first hour and a half.
Our first port of call was a sugarcraft shop where of course we gave the owner some cash. A door or two up was a lovely jewellery shop where the proprieter was making beaded jewellery. Having had a little chat there we went a little further up the street and found a Candle making demo just about to start. Brian Woods from Stix With Wix was fantastic and we came out smelling like a French lavender field. This was all before we even got to the main street.
Later on a little shop stuffed with card making goodies topped off the day.
With the weekend filled with laughter, chat and lots of good food I wandered home on Sunday evening visiting a friend on the way. Tired but happy.

Cake for New Community Centre.

Hi, I've been a little busy this last couple of days.
We had President Mary McAleese to open our New Community Centre yesterday.
I of course offered to make a cake for the event so I was under a bit of pressure.
I'm glad to say that the weather was great even if it was a little windy and it all went well.
The centre is called Cois Abhann which means By the River. That's why there is a river on the cake and and I even put the bridge over the river on the side.

Well, have to go to work now........

Friendship is the most precious gift of all.

This is my first card on my blog.
I made it for a friend who was going through a hard time.
It is parchment craft over a dark red card with a border punched edge.
Hi everyone,
Well its Sunday and I find myself at the computer again trying to sort out the design of my Blog, which is hard when you have no idea what you are doing.
I had no programme on my computer to sort out the Header on top of the page so having downloaded Paint.net I then had to work out how to use it. I'll read the instructions another day:-)
So...
I've decided that today's the day I go 'Public'.
I'm a busy little bee but I'll try to post as often as possible.
A big, huge thanks to Yvonne for all her help and patience and to everyone for their encouragement.
