A class Album.

Hi everyone,
I have just finished my very first album. Last Sunday I went to a class run by Patricia O Leary ( you will find her blog Here, scroll down and you will see the album ) and I left the decoration to do at home. Well, it was so cold today I lit the fire and sat down with my bits and pieces. I was so engrossed that I even forgot to drink my tea. It was stone cold by the time I took a sip.....where did that time go :-). Here are the pictures. The papers are called Noir et Chic 6"x 6" pad and are from First Edition.

Apologies for photography. I had it on a dark background and the light is not great today.
Hope you enjoyed it and it has inspired you.
Many thanks to Patricia for her lovely class and for inspiring me.

Spring is in the air

Hi all,
even though it's a bit blowy and cold outside Spring is definitely in the air. The days are longer and the birds are singing every morning. It makes my heart sing to hear them.
So with that in mind I have been playing with some of the new Kanban kits.
The first card is very simple with an Indigo Blu stamp foiled with the foil flakes and a Kanban bird topper on it. That's it, just keeping it simple.

I love kingfishers so I had to make a card with them on it. On this card I used the new Kanban watercolour A4 pad. Its really lovely. I tore a piece with script on it and coloured the edge to match the card. A topper with slight decoupage on it , a sentiment and some jewels complete the design. I hope that you get some inspiration from them.

Hugs and sunshine to you all,

Wedding card

Oh dear what a dismal day. Its rainy, misty, cold and miserable. As I write this I'm sitting by a warm fire but unfortunately I have to go out later. I have been crafting today in the warmth....I'm so lucky.
I found this cute card design on Card making downloads and I thought it was so sweet.
I printed it out twice to have extra layers of decoupage.
I'm not sure what I did when printing it out first but the image printed quite small so I made it into a matching gift card.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better weather day.

Simple cards

Hi everyone,
I was unwell for the last few weeks and as I sat recuperating I cut out a lot of decoupage from la Pache. I've put them together into some simple cards.
The first ones have toppers that are piramage style with 3 layers and I just added some peeloff lace and sentiment.

The next cards were made with the large toppers all decoupaged.
There are some lovely flowers and sentiments.
I matted and layered  them onto coordinating card and
embellished some with peeloffs.

This pic shows the depth of the decoupage.

I know that these cards are simple but I felt the flowers were so beautiful that they didn't need alot of embellishments.

See you soon,
Kay XX

Roll on the summer.

Hi everybody,
I was inspired today to enter Joanna Sheen's 3-2-1 Challenge here. And when I finished it the topper reminded me that summer and picnics etc are on the way. It's a way off but one can dream.
Its an 8" x 8" card with 3 different papers, 2 embellishments (jewels and a flower) and 1 topper.

Image is done in 3D decoupage

I must go and enter it now as the challenge closes today :-)
